I bowl at Brunswick Gwinnett in Lawrenceville, GA
, and I have for 5 years. I used to bowl at an AMF Center just down the road for about 11 years before, but it's s dump, and so we moved centers.
My averaged 194 for one season back in 2001 (not bad for 12 years old, I guess), but then for some reason, I tanked, consistently in the 150's and 160's year after year. After a ton
of practice with a bunch of great coaches, I've finally gotten my average back to about 180. Right now I'm sitting on 181.
I use a Columbia 300 Reaction Rev. I got it in late 2001. I'm sure it has well over 1000 games on it, but it still works well, as evidenced by what I did in December.
I have some sort of mental block when it comes to shooting a 700 series. I've come close about 10 times, and all of those times, I've blown it. The best I've managed in league is 695. The best out of league, 697. My dad and younger brother have shot 17 700's between them (but then again, they both have averages on the happy side of 200). It makes me wonder if I'm ever going to shoot one
