I have the 160GB iPod. Just got it a few weeks ago, ran out of space on the 80GB. I'd post a picture, but everyone and their brother knows what an iPod looks like.

I've only ever had two, the first one was a 512mb Sony which I forget the name of, and after a year of it missing presumed lost, I bought another one, this time a Wharfedale with 1Gb of memory. Well you can guess of course that the first one turned up inside my wedding suit just a few weeks after I'd bought it's replacement  grumpy  They do for getting me through long shifts at work, like the ten and a half hours sorting post which I've just done - without music I'd go utterly mad I think!

The Rio S35---Best investment ever

My Rio S35, Purchased it 5 years ago.

Here is the product description:

Description:Designed for athletes, the RioSPORT S35S is built to withstand the elements. This rugged player holds up to 2 hours of skip-free MP3 or 4 hours of WMA music. Add memory using its open expansion slot using SD or MMC memory cards. Includes sport armband, belt-clip and has a built-in FM tuner, clock and stopwatch.

Best investment I made in 2002. Came with 128MB of memory on board. However Rio(whoever bought them) kept upgrading the firmware till 2004, and the device can now accept whatever SD disk that comes out. Currently I have a 2GB chip in it. Works great, and has a great audio sync tool for my PC
Older than I just was ,and younger than I will soo be.

Sirius Stiletto 100:

Part portable satellite radio receiver, part MP3 player. Has 2GB of storage, 1 GB for storage of Sirius programming and 1 GB for storage of MP3s from your personal collection. It even has WiFi capability so you can listen to the Sirius Internet Radio programming.

I could a splurged when I bought it and gotten the Stiletto 2, which is about $130 more with only a few new features, like the ability to add an SD card so you can have a larger MP3 library and great WiFi access options (You can access public, private and commercial WiFi networks as it now offers the ability to access password protected networks).

Of course what really runs the price of things up is all of the accessories. I spent over $100 on a home dock, a vehicle dock and an antenna extender,

iPod nano 8gb (current generation). Great little music player; needs a hard case if you want it to stand up to everyday life without having to treat it like finest china. Before that I had an iPod Mini first generation - hard to fault it really - brilliantly designed, a good size (if a bit heavy). Battery packed up eventually, but that was after some three years - I could have got it replaced but instead started to use the music player on my phone (Sony Ericsson W810i). The phone didn't have a great interface for audio compared with the iPod, but despite a bit more noise, music sounded a lot deeper and more involving on the phone than on either of my iPods. Odd, that.

I can't get over the fact that you can now get all three original Wallace and Gromit short films on iTunes. I wonder why my productivity at work suffered today...

Thanks to a fellow a.netter, this is my current phone / music device. I LOVE it, the only bad thing is the shitty AT&T service (which I've had for quite some time now anyway).

I use the Stiletto as my home and car unit and leave my Streamer GTR in my work vehicle. The real fun was climbing on the roof to mount the antenna (I did a really low tech way of mounting my outdoor antenna; I attached it to a piece of cinder block with some cable ties. This way I can move the antenna around if needed.) and then having to crawl under the house to run the line to the room where I have my home dock (I know see why it's called a crawlspace.).

The first version only came in black or white (with a steel backside). If your nano is aluminium all around, it's the second generation. That was the first one which had a silver model.
