What Do The Coastguard Look Like In Your Area

Tue Mar 11, 2008 10:53 pm

Well, we have had fire engines, ambulances and police cars, so better not forget about the 4th emergency service - Coastguard.

What do they look like in your area? Heres Fort Williams Coastguards new toy:

Appologies to Switzerland, Austria and all other landlocked countries - probably best you leave this thread now  Silly

Ah, yes, the good old USCG

They have a VERY strong presence in MI, since it has more coastline than anyone.
Granted, some of these ships are retired, but they all served here, and have newer ships that have replaced them.

If you are talking the 50 U.S. states, Alaska has Michigan beat, 6640 miles to 3288 miles.

Good catch, I'm thinking contiguous US. Really it should go with out saying, Alaska has everyone beat at just about everything.
