MAN Meet Aftermath Thread (pics Etc)

Sun Jul 06, 2008 12:29 pm

Well, this is the thread for everyone to share their pictures with the world.

I didn't bother taking any pictures of planes, and myt332 took most of the following:

Sean377, ClassicLover and the rest of the crew having a nice leisurely drink.

B747-437B (banned and deleted by site administration)

ThePRGuy doing what he does best.

Daleaholic, LHRjc and Pawsleykat (Skinny Jeans) with their back to the runway!!!

Everyone having a drunken chat. Gkirk is smiling in this photo due to the influence of 11 Super Tennants

Gkirk doing his impression of LOT767-300ER

ClassicLover and Pawsleykat. I think a user name change is in order for the former  Wink

Tupolev154 am I right?

I don't get the handshake thing really.

Mr Easyjet

?????

Nighthawk and a stinking drunk

B747-437B (banned and deleted by site administration) with a delightful scottish fellow.

Overall, what a great day - had a really good time and was a pleasure to meet you all.

Hope to see you all again soon.

Yep, was a great weekend. Nice photos everyone. I won't be posting mine for another week due to the fact I'm off to IBZ in the morning and I'm stuck at MYT332's house being forced to drink beer, but I seem to have had a certain fascination with the willow Concorde like Daleaholic, as well as some similar subjects at the Airport Pub.

Was nice to see everyone again and to meet some new people and put faces to names.

Nah, not this time. We figured since you weren't there that it wouldn't be fair. We know how much you loved it so!

I had a nice weekend though and like I always say, thanks to everybody for making the effort to come along. The only down side to the weekend was that I had to meet ClassicLover but hey, you can't have everything right?  Wink

So I'll get whatever photos I have uploaded within the next few days. For my sins I am now off back to MAN, back to Bewleys, back to the Airport Hotel pub and then I'm being squeezed on to a 235Y seater chav airline called TuiThomsonBritanniaFly to a chavy island called 'Ibeefa' or something.

If I don't return tell my mummy I love her! Big grin

I'll add mine in soon together with the vid clip of our resident dance expert showing us his stuff with the aid of a random hat!!!  Wink

Great to catch up with old friends and meet yet some more new ones.

There was a fantastic atmosphere all weekend, with all of us coming together with a common interest....drinking!!! (oh and the odd aircraft photo here and there).

but at least no cottages caught fire

No but according to some papers Sir Alan Sugar's private jet came off a runway in Manchester this weekend. So either it wasn't at MAN, or we missed it!

It was at City Airport Manchester apparently (aka Eccles Airfield) wherever that is.

It's not too difficult - though it took me a while to realise how to do it. It's frighteningly easy using Photobucket, as it gives you the [url] codes automatically instead of having to fart about with it  Smile

Glad to see it was good weekend for everyone, shame I couldn't make it. Will have to make more of an effort to come next year.

I know it would've been breaking tradition here, but if this year's meet was the weekend of the 12/13th July you would've seen the A380 which is due at MAN for a flypast this weekend.

Well, I was gonna put something along the lines of "Paul seems to have mistaken the wall for a toilet", but I thought that was a little harsh  Wink
