I've heard great things about Ivars its a well known seattle seafood establishment.
I can vouch for Ivars. Not sure if it's the best place in Seattle, but it was pretty damn good!

Hamburger places I always loved Dicks Drive in the burgers are cheap and you can buy a bag of burgers/cheesburgers if you like.

Now for Ivars the website shows three differents types of establishments,
"Acres of Clams" , "Salmon House" and "Mukilteo Landing" . Which who is the better or are they all great.

Went to Seattle about 10 years ago.
We couldn't find any real food.
|Quoting 4holer (Reply 13):
We couldn't find any real food. It was all green exotic tiny pretentious sounding crap. We eventually found a pizza place and got some nourishment, but for a day and a half I woulda spent $20 for a bologna sandwich or PB&J.

There is a great chili place at Pike Street Market. From the news stand, go past the nut roasting booth and mini doughnut booth and hang a left past the Italian store just before the fish throwing. Go downstairs and it is there in the atrium. When you are finished with the chili, go back upstairs for those delicious mini doughnuts made before your eyes!
