Obama -- Civilian National Security Force?

Thu Jul 31, 2008 5:42 pm

Does anybody have anything on this?

I remember hearing something from someone I talk to online with (Yahoo IM) who mentioned something about Barack Obama mentioning in a speech in early July, proposing a secret $439 billion dollar plan for a "Civilian National Security Force"

Considering it's been deleted from the speech transcripts, this strikes me as it being something important.

I'm wondering if he's thinking of some kind of SA (Brownshirts) or SS type paramilitary organization, or establishing some kind of police state in America...

Asuflyer05,

I don't know, but the way this country is going, the more I want to leave it... now don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the Constitution or the ideals our country stands for... I just have a problem with the fact that our government is progressively eroding and eviscerating all of these ideals that our country is supposed to...

Good luck getting almost 15% of the federal budget appropriated to some dark corner. That silly plan would cost more than Medicare.

I know that the mainstream media is always in bed with the campaigns and so forth and are not going to push all that hard which is "why they aren't writing about this"; but, the guy that you are citing just doesn't seem credible.

Hehe, tell me about it...

To be honest, though, I could imagine McCain (if he gets into power), doing something equally crazy....

AFAIK, World Net Daily publish mostly evangelically oriented news. They're known to have racists amongst their contributors:

http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drm.../0,2777,DRMN_23906_4857415,00.html

At the end of the article there is an exerpt from a World Net Daily writer, on the topic of Hurrican Katrina: "Had New Orleans' black community taken action, most would have been out of harm's way. But most were too lazy, immoral and trifling to do anything productive for themselves."

One of their writers also blamed 9/11 on the immorality and secularism of America, and wrote that "God has raised up Shiite Islam as a Sword against America."

Credible news source? I think not.

Oh, and apparently Alexander Litvinenko became a Muslim before dying, according to the very reliable source: His neighbour. They published it as fact. So yes, I believe that any story concerning a BLACK candidate for president from this particular source of "news" is credible and true!

Cheers

Sure, we're concerned for our lives. Just not as concerned as saving 9 bucks on a roundtrip to Ft. Myers.
