TBH I don't know how long it took to make the 777 model for Star Trek Legacy... but I do know it is a very moddable game. Though the scaling is a bit off. A D'deridex class warbird is over 1000m long, whereas the 777-300ER is under 75m long. And I am a bit disappointed by its sluggishness and lack of maneuverability compared to the Romulan ships. That and its phaser arcs kinda suck.

I always wondered why D'deridex warbirds were constructed that way. They are so huge, placing a huge load on the structural integrity fields, while the vast majority of their architecture is empty space. You could fit a Galaxy-class ship (only ~600m long) inside a D'Deridex's interior space if you were careful.

Silly Romulans...

(ZOMG, did I just type that? Wow, I was in recovery from Star Trek for so long, too!)
