Could Nighthawk Have Been There?

Fri Aug 22, 2008 12:44 am

Don't know where it came from but it showed up in my email and I laughed my a-- off. Could Nighthawk be a closet U2 fan?

Warm winds blowing, heating blue skies, and a road that goes forever. I'm going to Texas!

Now that is funny!!!!

Bono is so full of himself (and other things) that it's not funny. Many, many years ago I went to see them here in DTW at the Fox Theater before it was renovated. About halfway through the concert, there was a scuffle among a couple of people who were standing near the front. He stopped the music and started preaching peace and it stopped. I thought it was cool until about 2 weeks later I was listening to the King Biscuit Flower Hour and the same thing happened at another venue. Then I realized the scufflers were plants and it was all a setup.

Eric Clapton died and went to heaven. He was met at the pearly gates by Saint Peter. The first person he met inside was George Harrison. As the spoke about the old times and their music careers, he noticed a small, familiar-looking guy with wraparound shades, deep in thought, pass by. Recognising him immediately, and thinking the three of them forming a supergroup in heaven, he asked George if Bono had died as well.

"Ah no", said George, "don't mind him. That's just God, sometimes he thinks he's Bono".

Not a closet fan - I quite like U2, although Bono is a bit full of his self.

And the guy is quite right, if he would stop clapping then the children would stop dying. Stupid Irish!
