I Don't Understand This Sundial (Rome)

Thu Sep 04, 2008 10:48 am

This picture was taken at 13,25 GMT+2 of 02/09/2008, this means at 12,25 without daylight saving. The Sundial is at Rome, Trinità dei Monti (Piazza di Spagna)
But I don't understand how to read it.
Any idea?

I found this site where this guy did some astronomical (no pun intended) calculations to figure out what
they are telling us:

And the equations involved:

Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.
