David Blaine - How Does He Do This?

Mon Sep 22, 2008 6:54 pm

I know David Blaine has just started his 60 hour hang upside down thing, but I've been on his website and would somebody please tell me know he does this?!

1) The girl is his assistant, acting like a simple spectator.

2) The two teeth Blaine grabbed were false and are removable.

3) The girl has two more, folded up in the roof of her mouth....like on hinges.

4) Blaine pulls out the two teeth while the girl feigns shock and horror.

5) While the crowd looks on the girl in amazement, Blaine hides the fake teeth he just pulled out.

5) Just as Blaine blows on her face, she pushes the two in the roof of her mouth down into place with her tongue. You can actually see this happening in the video.

Only really REALLY stupid people would think that can remove someone's teeth and then put them back in. If he could, dentists would be out of work all over the place.

Quoting MD80fanatic (Reply 1):

You missed out:

0) Find a crowd of really stupid, gullible and excitable people and get them to watch.

These street performances always seem to be in front of 'intellectually challenged' people. I think he should do his tricks in front of a courthouse full of judges, or outside the University of Cambridge's nuclear physics department. Then see the crowd's reaction.

he is just really good at the 'art' of magic which is all about sleight of hand, creating a distraction, and creating a rapport. If you are good at all three, people will believe they are seeing something incredible when in reality they are just seeing a really good act. Nothing more, nothing less.

MAGIC.....Is the Art of making the Audience look at what they feel is supposingly happening. While the Magician actually does the opposite.
The observation is on the wrong hand.....Remember the coin trick  Smile
