European Van Drivers Vivaro/Trafic Opinions?

Tue Nov 04, 2008 6:28 pm

Hi,

My company is looking at picking up a couple of '04 plate Vauxhall Vivaro 2700 (1.9CDti).

These seem extremely reliable, and insurance is reasonable - fuel economy is quite good.

Just interested to see if anyone here has experience with either:

Vauxhall Vivaro
Renault Trafic (2002>)
Nissan Primastar (2002>)

Any thoughts would be most appreciated - it is a tie up between these vans and the '04 plate Vitos from Mercedes.

I have many questions about all this, really I do, but I won't ask them here.

In any case get a Mercedes Sprinter! I used to deliver tyres in them back in 1996. Did you know that even the 312d will haul 210 remoulded taxi tyres at 115mph down the M8?

Crackin. Big grin

Hello "myt332"

We have considered the Sprinter but we are looking for a mid-size "fleet" - bigger than a combo/berlingo but smaller than a transit/sprinter.

This is mainly to stay in line with our "green initiative" which is a load of bull if you ask me but apparently it saves us a couple of quid.

Also I don't want to drive a big sprinter van  Sad
