Ive been to BGI 4 times now andabsolutely love the place. Ive stayed on both the South coast and the West coast.
The south coast is best for nightlife and the west coast has the best beaches.

The hotels Ive stayed in are Turtle Beach (south coast), Mango Bay and Crystal Cove (x2) (both on west coast) and Ive had a great time in them all.

It all depends on what your looking for from your holiday(chill out, nightlife etc) and your budget as to where you stay and when to travel.

Im sure though that whenever you go you'll have a great time

Turtle Beach is a really nice resort. I stayed there. When I was there the BA crew were staying there. Not sure if they do now. The new Hilton I have heard is very nice also. I only stayed at the old one.

I also stayed at the Almond beach resort and spa on another visit but I did not really like it.

When I went we stayed on the South coast, which is where the main nightlife spots such as Oistins and St Lawrence Gap are located.

When are you thinking of going? First Choice have some cheap last minute holiday deals to Barbados if you're flexible (around £570 for flights + hotel in late January). Of course, using First Choice will give you that little bit of extra legroom compared to VS/BA.

Crystal Cove is really nice. Here you may find a guide that was very useful to me  Wink

Have a great stay there,

I stayed at the old one as well. Is the new one built on the same site, or a completely new location?

Oh, and by the way - have the Bajan Flying Fish while you're in Barbados. Trust me.  bigthumbsup

Its built on the old site AFAIK. I loved the old one. It had the James Bond 1960's feel about it. lol... The sea could be quite rough at times though at that area.

Here is the new one . An aerial view and also a pic taken fron the 6th floor, the beach has not changed IIRC.

Well I'll be at the Mango Bay from Dec. 17-23. I'm planning to get some diving and fishing in, but any good restaurants anyone can recommend?
