Bounty Hunters In The UK?

Fri Nov 28, 2008 12:37 pm

Do guys like dawg the bounty hunter exist at all in the UK (or does UK law even permit something like it) ?

I am thinking of becoming a bounty hunter in the UK just to paint my car in a colour which resembles that of a donut eater, I mean Police car.

I think I saw (not a pussycat) such a vehicle a few minutes ago. Or it could have been my imagination.

I think it's illegal to be honest. We usually get UK-ised versions of US TV shows (especially car chases and police action ones) but we've never had a UK Dog the Bounty Hunter (even though we do get that quite often over here). I assume it's either illegal or nobody is interested. To be honest if bounty hunting wasn't illegal, painting your car in the police colours would be, It's impersonating a Police Officer (which you can be jailed for..)
