I've got the 21 Club recommended. It's on 21 W 52nd St.
I have a table there for New Years Eve / 31. dec., and it's a pretty short walk to Time Square.

What's your budget and do you have a particular type of food you want to eat? That's the great thing about restaurants in New York...there's something for everyone.

Not too far from Times Square and a bit less touristy you will find some great restaurants in the Theater district, although those kind of cater to an Older crowd. Personally I prefer to Eat downtown , Tribeca, SoHo, Ganesvort, Bleeker street etc..

By the way, I noticed your flag says you're from Hong Kong...I am Chinese and from Hong Kong myself. I understand how some Chinese people in Hong Kong are afraid to try different types of cuisine (i.e. any type of food from outside East Asia). If you or your gf are hesitant about trying Cuban, I say not to worry. Because Cuban food is good and this restaurant is pretty high quality...so you aren't going to be getting Cuban street food.
