NFL Wild Card

Sun Jan 04, 2009 6:22 pm

What do you think of the wild card playoffs so far?

Yesterday the Falcons gave the Cards a good game but in the end Warner and his kids hung on.

The Colts could have put the Chargers away early in the 4th but took 2 10-yd. penalties on their 1st drive of the quarter and squandered it all away.

Today we have the Ravens currently trailing the Dolphins by a FG. Later, the Vikings and Eagles battle.

So who are you guys going for?

I've always been an Eagles fan, so I'll be pulling for them today. It seems like the Eagles have 2 different teams though, one shows up and the next week one doesn't. It will be interesting to see how they play today.

I don't really care who wins though I would be happy to see the Eagles lose.

But I do hope the games are as entertaining as yesterday's games. They kept me too interested to take a nap.

I was disappointed in ATL running game... or lack of I should say! I was expecting Michael "The Burner" Turner to run all over the Cards....

But at the same time, I was happy to see AZ win.... it was their first time winning a playoff game at home since 1947 when they were the Chicago Cardinals.

For the 2nd game.... I was rooting for San Diego... and they won.. This mean Payton "Overrated" Manning will have plenty of time to shoot worthless/stupid TV commercials.

Overall, I would love to see the Chargers go all the way... They're my 2nd favorite team after the Browns.

For today, I'm rooting for Miami and Minnesota.

Pennington looks like like Brett Farve. I know Raven Defense is solid but come on Chad you have had too good a season to go out like the Cowboys did last week. They have to have a big 4th quarter. Still think Eli and Big Blue are the ones to beat. If Minnesota beats Philly Giants should be there.

Probably is, considering that extra point was blocked. For cryin' out loud, allowing an extra point to be blocked is just sloppy playing. Considering the Dolphins have turned over 5 times, at least the defense is holding it down for the most part. This could have been a lot uglier by now.

I'm surprised by the Dolphins today. How does a team that took care of the ball all season implode like they did today? Five turnovers!
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems with just potatoes.

OK, so how's the AFC picture for next week? I know Tennessee plays the lowest seed, and Pittsburgh the highest.

So what seed were the Ravens? I know the Chargers are #4.

As I Miami fan who is dissapointed here.

If Baltimore plays like they did today against Tennessee they are going to roll them as well and if they can continue to play that way their only legitimate obsticale until the Superbowl is Pittsburgh.

Miami didn't throw away that game, Baltimore won it handily with defense.

Miami did show they weren't prepared for this. Ravens have a great D but Chad and company didn't execute effectively and the whole team didn't come out ready to play. The blocked extra point and all the other mistakes were terrible but they did get blown off the ball toward the end.

Meh. Miami only dressed 3 recievers...and Bess got hurt in the 2nd, and didn't come out until the 3rd. The 2nd quarter really screwed the Fish over...they played decently most of the rest of the game. They're close. They need a go-to guy...and they gave Welker away 2 seasons ago...he would fit perfectly here now. Sighs...
