Oscar Nominations

BEST PICTURE
"The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"
"Frost/Nixon"
"Milk
"The Reader"
"Slumdog Millionaire"

The whole list is not out yet, but obviously the biggest snub was to WALL-E for not being nominated for best picture.

IDK, as much as I love WALL-E and as really good as it is, it is difficult for it to stand up in the same company of most of the other best picture nominees. Had the studios not released these last season art/indie flicks then I would say yes WALL-E deserved the nod. It did get nominated for best animated picture, and given the other 2 films will likely win. I think in general animation, or "kids films", are not taken seriously by the academy. Despite the artistry and effort involved in a movie like WALL-E.

WALL-E deserves a Best Picture nomination.

It is absolute garbage that the Oscar's created a "Best Animated Film" category, which is essentially answering the question, "Did Pixar or Dreamworks make the better CGI film this year?"

I would really like to see Heath Ledger win BSA for The Dark Knight.
