Not that I had much nostalgia for the old stadium, but in a way it's sad to see it finally vanish into history:

It must've been recorded by someone on the demolition crew, I doubt spectators would have been allowed that close.

I never liked Shea, it was old and lacked the mystique of Yankee stadium. I prefer to go to the Citizen Bank ballpark in Philadelphia to see the Mets, Citizen bank park is gorgeous. I also went last Summer to Nationals new park in Washington DC which I really enjoyed. Perhaps the new Mets stadium will have a different vibe than Shea, btw I wish they would get rid of the Citigroup naming rights. That just annoys the heck out of me.
