I wouldnt want to be a recipient until it was tried and tested on many millions for many years without any problems. Remember the Elephant Man trial in London a few years ago??

No thank you very much!

They could test it out on Nicole Kidman since there would be little chance of her body rejecting the, um, synthetic blood.

I would say that it may be a great medical advance if it tests out Ok. I do not have a problem with the concept. As a blood donor of many years, it sure would simplify the process if it was infection free. That is the big concern everywhere, infection, who could argue if just that concern was removed from the blood supply. The article does say that it maybe possible for a Universal Donor such as O neg to be developed. That would be priceless.

I wonder what the Pope will say about this one. . .

Good news though.

That would be great. It would make blood more readily accessible and much more safer to use.

Blood is not a drug. This will be just like real blood.

Frankly I do not see why it can't be done. I would have little problem using it. Just think of the lives it could save.

Which makes me think...I wonder where they got the idea from.

Serve warm. And remember to drink responsibly.
