Need Some Computer Help

Thu Apr 02, 2009 6:15 am

I was running Tune Up Utilities and 1-Click Maintenance and both of them were showing the same error and neither one of them was fixing it. What should I do so this error does not keep showing up?

Here is the error:

FlashProp Class
---------------
The key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTCLSID{1171A62F-05D2-11D1-83FC-00A0C9089C5A}InprocServer32 points to the missing InprocServer32 C:WINDOWSsystem32MacromedFlashFlash9b.ocx. The associated CLSID can be deleted.

Dont worry. Something went wrong in a Flash Player installation, and you have a leftover line in your registry. If you do not want to remove the CLSID (that 171A62F-05D2-11D1-83FC-00A0C9089C5A) yourself, you can see if the official uninstaller does it for you:http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157&sliceId=1
You'll of course neet to reinstall Flash Player later.

That did not work. I ran the un installer but that error is still there.  Angry

Im not really worried about it, it's just annoying that everytime I run my registry cleaner applications I get that same error.

Try this:

(From Windows desktop) Start-Run - write into box:
cmd
hit ok
in the black window type

regsvr32 C:Windows&System32&Macromed&Flash&flash9b.ocx /u

in the black window type
exit

And reinstall the latest FlashPlayer

NOTE: in the above write a backslash instead of the "&". The backslash won't appear in the post here for some reason.
