Mark "The Bird" Fidrych Dies In Apparent Accident

One of the more colorful major league baseball players in the 1970's, has passed away, in an apparent accidental death.

I saw The Bird numerous times when he played for Detroit. Loved how he would meticulously 'sculpture' the mound and talk to the ball. Yet another sad day for baseball fans.
