See? They Really Do Cling To Guns And Religion!

Fri Jun 05, 2009 12:22 am

Remember when people were all up in arms about Obama saying certain people cling to their guns and religion? Maybe he meant Kentucky, not Pennsylvania.

A handgun raffle... at a church. I mean, seriously, how the hell do handguns belong in a church? Especially considering the recent killings at churches...

I wonder what kind of heat Sweet Baby Jesus is packing these days...

The killings were by nonparishioners. A gun might come in real handy if some crazy comes walking in the door during a service.

What about switchblades or strangling wire? Or is that next week?

Stories like this make me ask myself- how did the human race survive the hundreds of thousands of years it existed without guns?

For the love of God (no pun intended), can't people leave their guns at home for 1 hour a week to go to church?

I have no problem with guns myself, and I enjoy shooting from time to time, but come on.
Scotty doesn't know...

Obviously their faith in God isn't that strong. Otherwise, they wouldn't feel so threatened and paranoid.

Well, the Bible has a few references to wa...

"A hundred shall give chase to ten thousand..." (Lev 26:7(?)).
