I'm very pro-choice, but I have witnessed a late-term abortion and I didn't like it one bit. It made me very anti-abortion, at least after the first trimester.
So why am I anti-abortion and pro-choice at the same time? Because I'm not 100% sure I'm right. And I *AM* 100% sure that I don't have the right to dictate morality to someone else through my vote or political action. And so I oppose any attempt to limit Roe v. Wade.
But I do wonder about these abortion docs who seem to make a point out of doing these late-term abortions. A few of them seem to actually enjoy it, and that makes me very uncomfortable.
But even if you are hard-core anti-abortion, the BEST THING you can do is donate to Planned Parenthood. As the name of the organization implies, PP
wants every child to be a wanted, planned child. PP
does a lot more than abortions. They provide valuable sexual health and contraceptive services that prevent pregnancy in the first place. That will reduce abortions.
