The new expansion of the National WW2 Museum in New Orleans opens this week. It's part of a $500 million expansion which is expected to be fully complete in 2015. The new part which opens this week includes the Solomon Victory Theater, a 250-seat theater which shows the 4D-film "Beyond All Boundaries", narrated by Tom Hanks, which took five years to complete. Here's a review of the film...it sounds like it'll be something to see...
Also part of the expansion are the Stage Door Canteen which will feature live USO-style shows every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, as well as a new restaurant called The American Sector by Chef John Besh.
Here's a link to the new museum's website which details all of the attractions. It's worth a visit.
