I have access to three computers; two desktops one laptop. All have WinXP. I can download music on my computer (a desktop) but it has no sound card. So, if I want to listen to music, I have to either put it on an MP3 player or burn to CD. But, the other two computers (one laptop, one desktop) will not rip or burn or play anything I try to play from the no-sound machine. They will, however, play what is already on the machine. When I try to rip/burn/sync anything on either of the machines with sound, I get the "not responding" window.
This happens no matter if I use Windows Media Player, Real Player, or WinAmp. All three end up "not responding." I only have WinAmp on the laptop. What is happening and how can I fix it?
