Uh huh, uh huh... You said "Butt"... huh huh huh...

As infantile as it was, I kinda liked that show.

While the episodes were great, the videos they commented on was some of the best stuff.

One of my favorite shows, especially because I personally know one of the supervising directors of the show/movie- Yvette Kaplan. Obviously, it was a completely infantile show, but I think Mike Judge knew that and took it to as hilarious an extreme as he could. I still watch it every once in a while when it comes on MTV2... in fact, that is the only reason I watch any MTV channel anymore.

From time to time I still proudly wear my Burger World uniform top with Butt-Head name tag. I am pretty sure that I say Todd driving around town yesterday with Tanqueray in the passenger seat

I used to watch Beavis and Butthead a lot when I was a kid. Those were the days when MTV was still worth watching. Nowadays, it's all flushed down the toilet in favour of cheap junk and bad music. MTV turned from a revolutionary network, into the same overcommercialised crap.

Beavis and Butthead were part of it's last glory days during the 90's.

What a coincidence. I was listening to the Beavis and Butthead Do America soundtrack today.

I think MTV led the way with this over-commercialized crap. Everyone else, VH1 for example, changed to the same crap.

In the mid 1990's, Beavis and Butthead was the only thing to watch on MTV. The rest of the programming was trash. Now ALL of MTV's programming is trash. In fact I don't even know what channel it comes on where I live and I could care less.

No idea about US MTV, but personally I did find MTV Europe to be much more bearable back then. I'm sure MTV Europe and MTV Deutschland are today just as bad as all other MTV networks though. The only reason why I'd bother to watch it is if there's a concert of a decent band performing at Rock am Ring (provided that the concert is shown in its entirety, live or re-run).

I loved Beavis and Butthead when it was on MTV, it was the last of a few good shows on the network.

My mother, the pleasant woman she is, still brings up the fact that my father let me watch "Beavis and Butthead" as a 12 year old when in argument about responsibility (I'm not a fan of visiting home outside holidays for this reason among many). I actually dislike the MTV show "Beavis and Butthead" for the reason that there is generally no resolution. I like finality. The movie, on the other hand, is awesome, and I watch it every time I am scrolling through the DirecTV menu and it's playing.

Thanks a lot!  rotfl  Now you got me on you tube. B & B are hilarious. I've had many too close almost pee in my pants from laughing so hard. And my parent's cat Baxter who has Kitty Down's syndrome sometimes goes into kitty freak outs sounding like Beavis revving up to go into "Corn Julio" meltdowns.

Remember it? Who can forget it? It's funny, actually, because my dad was the one who started watching it and then I watched it too. Same thing with South Park. What's really funny is that my dad is not one to use any of that kind of language used in either show.

Among my favorite memories of the show (often a late night treat after homework on weeknights in the '90s) was their commentaries on various music videos. From the inane "all right, GWAR!...yah yah GWAR rocks!" to genius "he he he...this Bjork chick is kinda hot.....uh huh huh what?? dammit Beavis!", I loved them all!

My favourite episode was called Candy Sale. Their class had to sell candy bars in the neighbourhood to raise money for the school. The two heroes of the show wanted candy themselves, but only had a buck each. One lends the other a buck, giving him the two bucks he needs to buy a candy bar. After buying the candy for two bucks, the other now has two bucks to buy a bar himself, and so the cycle repeats itself until the same two bucks has been passed between the two of them so many times that they have 'bought' and eaten all of their stock, but still have only two dollars between them. Genius.

That one is one of my favorites too! I loved how David Spade guest starred in that, and the lines:
Spade: (standing in the front of the class with his right hand in his pocket and left hand holding a candy bar)
Can anyone guess what I'm holding?
Butthead: Your nads?
Spade: No, my other hand.

lol that was hilarious
