Got An Extra $190,000?

Fri May 14, 2010 11:39 pm

Then you could have an Apple product that you REALLY don't want to leave behind at a California beer hall.

Wow..I can actually see someone shelling out all that money for this crApple product. And I thought spending $650 on this thing without all the gold was a waste...

I think the diamonds on the back will make it awkward to use while laying on the coffee table.

hmmm... some people have that kind of money to waste, they like these kinds of toys.

At the McLaren paddock at Monaco Grand Prix I have seen Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button's girlfriend showing off her diamonds covered i-Phone outside the McLaren paddock. She kept walking around outside the paddock with the thing in her hand turning it around and playing with it. The back of her i-Phone was all covered with diamonds. The thing must have been made on order. I think this is obscene. If this woman only needs these kinds of $$$$ toys to be happy then I must say I feel very sad for her. I must say that Jenson also likes flashy $$$$$$ objects. He drives around Monaco in a Bugatti Veyron. He is very very rich. It is difficult to believe that some of these notorious people are in fact so superficial.

Well the normal retail price is a waste for an ipad so if I had a lazy 190k I'd probably be incline to buy something else.

It's probably part of the usual McLaren-Steinmetz promotion done during the Monaco weekend. Chances are she has to give it back on Monday morning. I take it you haven't seen Lewis and Jensons diamond encrusted helmets for this weekend?

Did not get to see the helmets from near enough to see that they had diamonds on them. At least this is rather discrete. The all diamond covered Mrs Button's i-phone was really a pain with the sun reflecting on it it gave violent flashes of light from some distance. She looked like she knew how to use the thing, maybe looking at emails or SMS. This one is a very costly toy I must say, the kind you can find in one of the $$$$$ shopping malls in Dubai. I wonder if these can get recycled? What would she do with it when it becomes obsolete? The same with the i-pad in the original post?

If I had money, the first thing I would do is go buy some fast cars and probably a nice jet. And probably a nice house with a giant TV. Not to show off or prove anything, just because I like such things. Now I don't like the iPad, diamond encrusted or otherwise, so I wouldn't buy that regardless.

Apparently they learned their lesson with putting it on the car after the Jaguar crash.

Things I'd rather have for 190,000-

X190

or even-

x190,000

Basically, anything is a better use of money.
