Lobbying For Your Country With A Cessna 172

Mon May 17, 2010 2:58 pm

In support of his new born country; Kosovo, Mr.James Berisha did something that not many of us would do. He bought a plane painted it with the Kosovo Flag and headed for south America that includes around 40 states, his main mission was to Lobe as much as possible for the Kosovo Independence recognition.
He has recently finished his trip to Latin America and the Caraibes. Right now he is in Canada and will continue to Kosovo in the future days. His other stops will be Greenland, Iceland, UK, France, Switzerland, Italy, Croatia, Albania and Kosovo the last.

the link to his website:

and his ongoing flights:

some people here in Prishtina are trying to organize an event upon his arrival, he is a real legend for our nation.

Hmmm this guy must be crazy haha... I cant imagine what its like flying over the Atlantic with a cessna..

I have seen ferry pilots take diamond stars over but... damn...still pretty crazy imo.

Well, the early periods of any new nations tend to be punctuated by radical or crazy choices or events. Usually countries are not born with everything set up and ready for smooth sailing (flying in this case).

He Would never Visit BEG, because Serbian Forces killed his Father: http://www.flyingforkosovo.com/?page_id=143
And going in to Serbia territory with that flag would be a suicide mission.

Once again if there are any A.Net spotters in Iceland Reykjavik, he might be there tomorrow or later today, hope you can find some time to capture some pic.

Well, to be honest I don't know too much about the political status of Kosovo. I just thought that because A.net had a flag that the status had been more formalized. I get that there are very strong opinions on the Serbian and Kosovar side. One of my best friends is part Serbian, but I haven't asked him lately on this issue.

Don't worry AlexEU, you can have the Falklands, we have a big chunk of Antarctica.
