I don't know if you're serious or not, but it's a serious issue, so....
While drugs can certainly influence creativity, they don't supply
it. It might be a different
style of creativity that you find when you're high, but it's not any more or less creative than what you can do clean and sober.
In fact, you could probably write better in a clear state of mind.
Plus, if you kick an addiction, you suddenly have WAY more time to devote to writing/practicing. I've improved at guitar by leaps and bounds since I quit drinking.
Good to see you still around! I remember you always being into Slipknot. I had never really heard them till "Duality" started being played on the radio. Didn't pick up an album till last year sometime, when I finally got Vol. 3
