It's only news because she is old. Heck I don't even know why they would revoke her license since she was only doing a little over 100 mph.

Screw you, that's what I wanted to write as soon as I saw the thread title.

This is great. Go Speedy Mama!!!

I hope they will not take her licence away.

It proves once more that the age mark on papers and what year you were born doesn't mean anything.

It's a real shame if they take away somebody's license just for speeding. The article does allude to disobeying license conditions, though I don't know what exactly those would be.

True. My grandfather is 83 years old and still a very good driver. If he wasn't so uptight about respecting the speed limits, I'd have no worry seeing him drive 160 on the highway. I'd feel safer with him than with a 20 year-old doing the same.

A couple of years ago my grandad took his new car up to 115, to 'try it out'. He's 88 now

I'm not one to condemn somebody for speeding, however if she needed a long time to realize she was chased by cops, what do you think would happen if something came up on the road, like an animal or a sudden traffic jam ?

Gran's getting some at 81!! I'm impressed!

I don't know how I feel about this. On the one hand, it's great to see a senior driver doing more than 20 km/h and on the other hand she's obviously a complete nut who shouldn't be driving.
