Is Your Cell Phone Really 'smart'?

Thu Jul 22, 2010 2:27 pm

I've noticed on my blackberry or iPhone that words that were misspelled previously and got auto-corrected now aren't viewed as spelling errors anymore. Could this be because I use them so often on the phone now?

Eg. I refer to my puppy as little 'bugga' and would type 'bugga' into iPhone and it would correct it to some other word. I use the word 'bugga' frequently on the phone and it has recognized it as correct spelling now and will actually suggest the word as a replacement if I spelled 'bigga' or similar. Just curious if anyone else noticed this. Maybe my blackberry and iPhone are smarter than me.

I know its more of a rhetorical question you pose, but nonetheless, my Blackberry isnt really all that smart.

There is nothing that is does, save for making phone calls, that I can't do some other way and just as efficiently in some cases.

Now the iPhone or Droid...those things are useful in many everyday situations. Blackberry? I could live without it if it werent for work
I sell airplanes and airplane accessories
