Kid Swallows Used Hotel Condom

Tue Aug 31, 2010 12:07 pm

Woman brings her grandson into a hotel. Realizes that the room isn't clean. She sleeps in it anyway, and wakes up in the morning to find her grandson with a used condom down his throat.

Isn't the kind a bit way too old to put everything he finds in his mouth?
Otherwise it's a lesson for everyone to properly check the hotel bed before you crawl into it... and better not to think too much about who slept in the bed before you and what they were doing.

No offense to the kid, but that's something that infants do, while he appears to be at least 5. I'd like to think I was smart enough when I was 5 to know that a smelly, gooey piece of latex was not something that I would enjoy as a snack. Nearly a Darwin Award winner, it seems...

With 5 year olds (mine at least) the don't stick things in there mouths anymore it normally goes up the noise or in his ear.

That said 5 years olds do do stupid things all the time, like jumping off a 4 metre high bank when he's only 110cm tall.

You go to a hotel and don't leave the room after you realize it hasn't been cleaned?

Hey that guy with the private jet can bail us out! Why? HE CAN AFFORD IT!

The story I read and then saw on the news is they found him blowing the used condom up like a balloon.

To mqe that makes more sense then the 5 year old with a condom down his throat.

Either way it is gross

Sometimes all you can do is look them in the eye and ask " how much did your mom drink when she was pregnant with you?"

I immediately laughed outloud, then hoped that he didn't die from the airway obstruction. Yes, I wouldn't have played with it at 5 y/o but there are some stupid kids out there.

It's nasty and wrong on so many levels!

There's a slight bit exaggeration on the part of the video, as he was found with it in his mouth, not down his throat, as he was trying to blow it up like a balloon:

One typically assumes when checking into a hotel room that it was cleaned and nothing nasty is in the room. Unfortunately in the current economic downturn, housekeeping seems to be one of the areas hotels have skimped on. In some cases, they've added rooms without adding additional staff (I stayed at a hotel over Thanksgiving Weekend and one day my room was not cleaned until after 6 PM. I'm assuming there were so many folks checking out that they got swamped getting those rooms back online for guests checking in that afternoon.). I know one of the first things I do when I check into a room, no matter how worn out I am, is check to see if they've been skimping on the cleaning. I don't expect a room to be completely free of dust and debris, but when you find nail clippings and food crumbs in plain site, that's a problem. When you go into the bathroom and see some short and curlies left by a previous guest, that's a problem. I can say that the housekeeping at the last hotel I stayed at did a very good job at keeping the rooms clean. I checked out before 8 am and while I was checking out, they radioed housekeeping that my room was ready for cleaning.

Feel odd writing this, but that does make more sense. I had a friend over the other week, and apparently, either me or my boyfriend had not properly disposed of a used condom. My friend, thinking it was just an unwrapped condom, picked it up and made a crack about "gay guys just keeping unwrapped condoms around, in case you're in a hurry" (Crappy joke, I know, but at least he tries). Now, I sorta noticed that this condom actually had a content, but before I could say anything, he actually put his lips to it, and that's when he noticed. My friend, who's straight, gave off a bit of a squeal, and threw it out the window, which happened to be open. When I told my boyfriend, he laughed so hard he cried. Too funny to be embarrassed about. Still, since that incident, I've made sure each used condom disappears, one way or the other.

My point is, if my 22 y/o friend, who indeed should be smart enough not to think that an unwrapped condom would also be unused, and ought be able to recognize it's contents, if he would attempt to blow it up like a balloon, no wonder a 5 y/o would do it too, not understanding what it is.

Cheers
Mats
Sure, we're concerned for our lives. Just not as concerned as saving 9 bucks on a roundtrip to Ft. Myers.
