There's a slight bit exaggeration on the part of the video, as he was found with it in his mouth, not down his throat, as he was trying to blow it up like a balloon:
Feel odd writing this, but that does make more sense. I had a friend over the other week, and apparently, either me or my boyfriend had not properly disposed of a used condom. My friend, thinking it was just an unwrapped condom, picked it up and made a crack about "gay guys just keeping unwrapped condoms around, in case you're in a hurry" (Crappy joke, I know, but at least he tries). Now, I sorta noticed that this condom actually had a content, but before I could say anything, he actually put his lips to it, and that's when he noticed. My friend, who's straight, gave off a bit of a squeal, and threw it out the window, which happened to be open. When I told my boyfriend, he laughed so hard he cried. Too funny to be embarrassed about. Still, since that incident, I've made sure each used condom disappears, one way or the other.
My point is, if my 22 y/o friend, who indeed should be smart enough not to think that an unwrapped condom would also be unused, and ought be able to recognize it's contents, if he would attempt to blow it up like a balloon, no wonder a 5 y/o would do it too, not understanding what it is.
Sure, we're concerned for our lives. Just not as concerned as saving 9 bucks on a roundtrip to Ft. Myers.
