I think it's time for there to be some serious discussion between the U.S. and Haiti about their legal systems and the kinds of evidence that they are going to require before jailing an aid worker. Obviously, aid workers can do horrible things, but the charges in this case seem absolutely absurd. The child died. People attested that he died and that he was cremated.
Then the dad comes back with a mere accusation and this man winds up in jail. If Haiti is going to treat relief workers in this manner, then maybe they need to stop getting relief workers.
