Hello everyone, with the current automobile topics here on A.net, I wondered if anyone is driving the Škoda Fabia, and then more specifically the 2010/2011 version hatchback version. I've been doing some research on it and it looks like a fine car to me. Anyone with some driving experiences in this car?
Not exactly a Fabia, but I do own a 2007 Octavia Tour TDi, and am extremely satisfied with it! It does its job of taking me from A to B perfectly, is solid as a rock, quite comfortable even over longer distances - and in my experience extremely mechanically reliable. The only thing that had ever gone wrong on it is the door open indicator light on the dash, which sometimes (actually very rarely) starts blinking at irregular intervals. Other than that, drives as well as when I bought it.
Plus, that 1.9 anvil under the bonnet is very economical - outside the city I rarely get below 800 km on 45 liters of fuel, and that's at 130-150 km/h and often through hilly terrain. Inside the city, the lowest range I'd ever seen was 650 km, even with the aircon on. And with 250 Nm of torque on hand, it does pull brilliantly up hills
. The only thing lacking - apart from the woefully dull interior - is handling, since it does tend to lean like a boat in corners
No plane, no gain.
