UFO's Fly Out Of Giant "Haboob"

Sun Jul 10, 2011 11:57 am

"Haboob," really?

From Straits Times: "TWO disc-shaped objects were seen flying through a massive dust cloud that struck the US state of Arizona last week.

The 160km-wide sandstorm - called a haboob - engulfed the small town of Mesa last Wednesday.

A CNN News helicopter captured footage that appears to show two mysterious objects darting in and out of the dust cloud."

Sure, we're concerned for our lives. Just not as concerned as saving 9 bucks on a roundtrip to Ft. Myers.

At the 36 sec mark, look at the object at the top of the screen moving away. Looks like an airplane

I think this is a doctored fake. Camera-man has a choice of following the slow progression of a dust wall, or following some interesting lights which could be UFOs. He follows the dust wall, which to me says the 'lights' were never actually there.

I believe YouChoob user QueenKaidrea is a fool and has never heard of helicopters for a start

Lol, sounds like a solid enough source to me

To be fair, the Straits Times (a source that I do trust) article states that the video was taken from a CNN news chopper, which lends at least a shred of credibility to the story. Agreed that it's a little bit ridiculous that he would follow the cloud instead of the "UFO's," though.

Yes it does. And the other one looks like it might be a helicopter filming as the sandstorm moves in.

Could easily be planes with landing lights on..

This story was already debunked by the guy who filmed it, when he stated that not only were they both airplanes, but he was listening to both of them over the radio. Also:

At 1:00 and 1:45, you will see the airplanes doing their go-arounds.

Yes, Rly. If any language is going to have the best words to describe sand and all things sandy, it would be Arabic, no?

Haboob actually means "strong wind" in Arabic. Go figure.

Looks like an MD-80, or similar...landing lights on the wing tips.
