Livetracking The Munich S-Bahn Commuter Trains

Thu Jul 28, 2011 4:15 pm

Since flight tracking is quite popular and we have a fair amount of rail enthusiasts here as well I thought this might be interesting to some:

A livetracker for the whole Munich S-Bahn system.

Really neat.

Could see this being adopted by transit systems world wide. Arrive just-in-time as your your train, tram or bus is pulling to your stop.

There's something similar for the London Underground.

It's quite accurate, I live between two stations on the Bakerloo Line and when trains pass by a few seconds later the yellow pin goes past on the map displaying that train.

I could have REALLY used something like this back when I used to take the LIRR every day. What a great tool!!!
