Maxine Waters....again

Tue Aug 23, 2011 12:45 pm

She is the gift that keeps on giving...And yea she should be sent packing for these comments but you will not see this playes on the nightly news or covered by the MSM...

Quote:
“I’m not afraid of anybody,” . “This is a tough game. You can’t be intimidated. You can’t be frightened. And as far as I’m concerned — the tea party can go straight to hell.”

But then all of the local media outlets in the MSM left out the last line in which she said

Quote:
‘I Intend to Help Them Get There

This is the nice new civil tone the Obama called for. I doubt the president will call her out on this..

Nobody really takes her seriously. She is just another class hating fearmongerer who thinks statements like this can scare people into believing her.

Nope judging by the poll #s that came out today putting him behind now Axlerod will probably have him doing the same thing very soon.

Actually it is a pretty good Money Bomb.

And not a lot to worry about as the Tea Party types have been using Money Bombs very successfully for a long time now.

The interesting thing about this one is the degree that the Tea Party can use it for their fund raising.

Why are you guys so fixated on her? She's just a congresswoman with more mouth than she has power.

Like Ben Quayle.

Yep she is helping them out and she does not even know it.....

Why is everyone fixated on Palin? She has no office at all...Now if Palin had said this about the left i am sure the MSM would have a field day with it. But because the likes of SJL and Maxinne are libs they keep it quiet and bury them in a cone of silence...

Oh, heavens! Someone to the left of the tea people is voicing her opinion! She must be stopped!

I seem to recall a time when speaking out against war was anti-American. Anyone who said we should not be in Iraq was branded as a terrorist and anti-American and against freedom and should just shut up. Well, now we have someone who is voicing her opinion and the extremist right hates it because she is speaking out against them. If they don't like the hate rehtoric, they never should have started it. Why does the extreme right hate America so much?

I think it has more to do with the "civility" rhetoric that the president always speaks of. When his party is the case at hand, here is nowhere to be found.

When the Red Meat Right can't be civil there will be little incentive for the competition to be.

From what I have seen the President has been pretty civil so far in the campaign. He even treated Perry gently on the "Does Obama Love America" issue, brushing it off as simply inexperience in standards associated with the Presidency.

Right Windy. being the vice presidential nominee means absolutely nothing.

Another false equivalency. Compare her to another congressperson with no power, and you'll see that they get treated the same way.

I quite disagree, but don't get off track here.

This is not about the president. It is about the double standard of the civility rhetoric that he preaches.

You consider the Tea Party civil?

Or Bachman?

Or Perry?

Their Money Bombs are pretty impressive.

This is exactly what we are talking about: The left makes any comment and all of a sudden, they are uncivilized. But, the extreme right can say anything they want and they are "being American" and voicing their "opinion." It goes against everything this great country stands for when only the extremist right can say anything they want but refuses to let slide anyone to their left say anything.

If you don't like the "uncivilized" rehtoric, hold the extremists on the right accountable too!

It doesn't.

They attacked her because of her money raising power and ability to get people to the polls. She was huge in the 2010 election victory.

Actually yes, the Tea Party is very civil. Look at their protests next to those on the left. They don't fight, they don't call others vulgar names.....they simply protest for what they believe to be true civilly and legally (and yes it is true, but that's a whole other issue).

In other words, she is not remotely analogous to Maxine Watters. Thank you for proving my point.

Oh no Maxine Waters is much worse. She uses class and fear to try to incite. Perfect student of Alinsky.

They are slammed everyday on the news. The fact is the president speaks of civility but hes nowhere to be found when his own party is uncivil. Its BS and gives him no credibility.

Actually look at any protests that are UN-civil they are virtually if not always liberal. Look at the recent uprising in the UK looting and destroying their own neighborhoods.

That's right Stratosphere. They are liberal protests. Any protests from the Tea Party here have always been very civil and non-racist as the left like to claim. I definitely agree with you that 90% of violent and uncivil protests are caused by the left/liberals.

Baloney.

Having been front and center for a couple of protests, I can tell you I've seen the racist posters with my own eyes.
I'm not going to say that all tea partiers are racist, or even that they are the majority, but it's horse manure to believe that there is no racist element in any tea party event.

And 90% of protests involving guns are right/conservatives.

I didn't say "No One" had a racist bone in their body. Every race and group has some bad apples that are racist, no matter what color you are. I'm talking as a whole and in general.

Or the riots in Greece, or anytime there is a G-8/G-20/NATO/Davos meeting in town, any time there is a Republican or Democrat Party convention, etc.
