Now that is a water hazard. I'll pass, I am in the water quite often.

Yeah I'd give it a miss if I were you.

So in Florida you get alligators on the golf course, now sharks in Australia. What next eh...

Just in case there is doubt, the bull shark is considered the main danger in Sydney Harbour where a few notorious takings have occurred.

Question, how many golf balls will it take to kill a bull shark.

Must be quite a bit pool to be able to support 5 or 6 large noahs.

Interesting, I never knew sharks could live in what I presume to be freshwater..

Now THAT is a real water hazard. I guess if you ball goes into the drink, you get a mulligan.

I am surprised that they were not removed considering that is not their natural enviroment.

Know your freshwater!! From wiki:

True freshwater sharks are sharks able to live in freshwater lakes and rivers, including:

the bull shark, Carcharhinus leucas, which swims up tropical rivers around the world
the river sharks, Glyphis, found in fresh and brackish water in Asia and Australia

With Sydney Harbour and the Parramatta River, bull sharks certainly get up into what folk think of as a river and into non saline water. And their bite does not soften in fresh water either.

Even so. folk ignoring "Beware crocodiles" signs gets more victims each year than bull sharks do.

Haha they really go in detail (bears kill more humans, they live on land), makes you really confident to go out in the wild for a walk... I'll remember never to go anywhere again were bears are in a 1000 mile range... period!!!

In some areas of northern New Jersey, where the populations of bears has seen huge growth and getting out their woods. In Sussex County , I have heard of them being seen on golf courses and chasing off the players.

Well do not forget Australia has drop bears that positively infest golf courses.

But in the real world this what those fish in the GC golf course can do to you.

Going by the thread title, I was expecting to read of a resurgence of the "land shark" attacks of the mid-1970s-
