TSA Out Of Control In Miami Beach

Thu Mar 29, 2012 3:20 pm

This is from our local newspaper, the Miami Herald. Incidents like this give the already tarnished reputation of TSA staff an even worse image which is a shame because I have NEVER run into a TSA staffer who was not professional and reflected negatively on the TSA.

Miami Beach police say two Transportation Security Administration officers partied a little too hard Tuesday night, trashed their South Beach hotel room and then picked up a semi-automatic handgun and shot six rounds out the window.

One bullet pierced a $1,500 hurricane impact resistant window at a nearby Barneys New York, penetrated a wall and tore into some jeans in the closed store’s stockroom, according to store manager Adelchi Mancusi.

I would say that the Aviation industry at MIA (the airport itself and its tenants) is basically out of control.....

I wouldn't say the TSA is "out of control"; I'd say the two idiots that did this are "out of control"; I'd also say they probably won't be "out" much longer ! Firing a weapon out of a hotel window and doing the damage they did, is not a "slap on the wrist" offense; you won't be seeing those fools in a TSA uniform again !

I would say that occurrences like this are not terribly surprising from members of this corrupt and staggeringly-bloated agency.

Which at Barney's might have cost more than the window!

Is there any place the TSA actually is in control?

I don't mean with fear, intimidation or by sexual perversion either?
