Children's Author Maurice Sendak Dead At 83

Another legend passes.   Even though they were short, the images in his books provided a world of imagination.

"Where the Wild Things Are" was a strange and memorable book when I grew up.

Only recently I came across various interviews with Sendak, and he was a real character to match.
