Ah. I thought there was supposed to be more to it than that. That seems perfectly reasonable to me since they're both designed by the same company to be gripped by one's hand and hands didn't appreciably change in the years between the introduction of the N64 and the Wii. Apple would have done very well to follow a similar design ethic when they changed from the much-loved ADB Mouse II to the almost universally-hated "hockey puck"-style USB Mouse... but I digress.

Ever since I saw the arrow (long before many had actually seen it as well), I cannot look at the FedEx logo the same way without looking at the arrow first.

And it was an Aussie who pointed out the kiwis in the Canterbury logo, in 20 odd years I'd never noticed them, not many others have either.

Amazed no-one has posted the London Olympics 2012 logo. It is - as all Brits have known for some time - a lady with an Afro (or Lisa Simpson) on her knees performing a highly enjoyable service to a guy leaning backwards.

Don't look into it, step back and look at the whole thing. The branches outline an obvious shape.

The circled mouth is actually showing a person's upper teeth, not lower teeth, where the lower teeth should be. Viewed upside down, it's hardly a smile but a look of unnatural disgust!

It's the same principle as the Thatcher effect. This is my favorite demonstration of it- these pictures look pretty normal:

Our brain is very good at recognizing if you turn somebody's eyes and mouth upside down, providing we view the face the right way up. Otherwise we don't notice.
