Exerpts from the link:

Ron Palillo, best known for his role as Arnold Horshack on the 1970s TV sitcom "Welcome Back, Kotter," had died, the Palm Beach Post reports. He was 63.
...
He played the goofy Horshack from 1975 to 1979 on "Kotter," which starred Gabe Kaplan as a hip but beleaguered teacher who presided over a classroom that also included a young John Travolta.

Palillo said he came up with Horshack's trademark, an overly excited "ooh ooh!"
"TransEastern! You'll feel like you've never left the ground because we treat you like dirt!" SNL Parady ad circa 1981

So sad - I wonder if Gabe Kaplan expected he'd outlive two of the Sweathogs.

(Wait - did he? I know not of Gabe Kaplan's current status.)

Now it's up to Barbarino and Freddie Boom-Boom Washington to carry the torch. (Hiii there!!)

Quoting Airstud (Reply 2):

He's actually the third Sweathog to die. Rosalie "Hotsie" Totsie, a "minor" Sweathog, died in 2005.

Thank you for that link!! She had an interesting story - so sad about losing her husband in the 9/11 attacks, and then she and her sister dying.
