Romney Campaign Data Mining

The above post is a story all over the web today about how Mitt Romney uses Data mining to target potential wealthy and inclinded donations from the Republican party.

I am not sure about the ethics of this, but it does seem like a smart move to target your donors directly. I am sure at some point Obama has done this with this team.


However it kind of gives me the chills about Romney. It seems that he and his team are directly targeting and pandering to the wealthy, something that i have been highly suspicious of. However more directly this is very big broherish, and probably enought to even give a judge in Texas some scary thoughts. For a person campaigning for the party of less Government , this seems very much of an over reach.

What does everyone think? Too intrusive, too much pandering to the wealthy? if it takes this much money to win an election are we really living in a Representative Democratic Country ?
