It is sad to see someone pass at such a young age.
My condolances to his friends and family.

Massive heart attack it appears on July 13 and he never really recovered.
I wonder what his medical history looked like. THe article says he went vegetarian 3 years ago. I know, that in and of itself does not prevent a heart attack, but I wonder if he had a medical scare at that point?
Older than I just was ,and younger than I will soo be.

Oh man, what a shame. I loved him and had the pleasure of meeting him once. He was a really friendly guy with a big heart who enjoyed his years.

Perhaps the most interesting story about MCD is this - he was supposed to be the bodyguard for Notorious BIG the night he was shot and killed, but decided to switch duties with another person. Yeah, it's mentioned in the article, but still really interesting to me. I remember him saying that, had he been on duty, Biggy would not have died that night (due to where he normally sat in the vehicle versus where his replacement sat that night)

RIP man...you'll be missed.

MCD, along with Jack Nicholson, are one of the few IMO to play comic book supervillains flawlessly. He really brought the Wilson Fisk/Kingpin character in "Daredevil" to life.

I was really looking forward to seeing what the rest of his career would be like, too. A loss to us, indeed, but to his family, even bigger. RIP, Mr. MCD.

He was also great in the 1998 flick Armageddeon. Wished he did more movies, just an amazing actor.

I don't get into celebs much, but he was one guy I sure wish I could have met in real life...he just seemed like such a warm spirit and a genuine guy. RIP Michael...

He was based on my experience. He was one of those guys that died young but, at least, could probably say "Well...I sure as hell lived those 54 years to the fullest".
