Bar Patron Shoots Homicide Suspect On A Rampage

Obligatory second amendment rights comment (blah blah filler filler I'm not gonna get political here you know how I feel)

Here's my question for all of you: Do you think this would have been a huge news story if the patron killed the suspect?

here's my thing: This guy was definitely right to shoot this suspect. The police have stated they will not charge the patron. The suspect is in the hospital, in critical condition but expected to recover.

What's your opinions here? Justified? Not justified?

Given that the man had a gun pointed at him, that is self-defense. Given that he had just watched the alleged murderer shoot two other people, defense of others is also a valid legal defense.

Whether either man should have had access to a weapon is a different discussion for a different thread.

Pretty cut and dry if you ask me... Justified in all 50 states I would assume.
