Ukrainian Road Trip 2013 - Date Setting

Mon Sep 24, 2012 11:17 pm

Hallo to all interested in the Ukrainian trip. With the fall slowly approaching, I think we should move forward and suggest some dates, so that we can mark them in our diaries (the old-schooled ones) or smartphones (the hipster ones) and that we can arrange it with our bosses and holiday plans. What do you suggest then?

As mentioned before, I think good timing would be June or August. July will be busy at my job (if I still keep the same) and I also have some other errands to do. What is your opinion?

I would also like to read opinions about the lenght of stay. Would a week be agreeable?

with love yours Judith .)

Bringing this topic up

I'm just putting me on the maybe list, but june would be my first choice...

As for the lenght of the trip, I think a full week is a bit long, maybe 4-5 days should be great.

What do I do if I have an old-school smartphone? I dont think I can do the whole trip, but I think a trip to Kiev or Odessa or somewhere is in line for me and I could at least meet up.

Ah this brings back memories! I don't think I can come though.

Just be careful with the cops when making left turns. And when speeding.

About a week should be good. Remember we need a couple of days to get Gavin away from Hidropark  . As for dates i am not sure yet, but i think i should be able to make it anytime as i have priority in choice of vacation time at work. The only thing that can come in the way is that my daughter have to change kindergarten next summer and i am not sure how ending time in the old one and starting time in the new one will "line up". Maybe forcing us to spend most of our vacation for this period.

I haven't been to Moldova, I initially though Russia was pretty bad then I went to Ukraine, so lord knows what Moldova is like if it's worse than Ukraine.
