Seth who? I thought initially they said Seth MEYER from SNL, which I could have somewhat understood. Maybe. But this choice makes no sense to me at all.

I don't get that the average airliners.net reader is an Oscars fan (are you all ?) but I have watched them since 198~.

I understand they are trying to attract younger viewers, but Transformers II and the cast from Twilight have NOT been nominated for Best Picture or Best Actor, so that genre of film is not represented therefore we aren't attracting Seth MacFarlane fans IMO.

Horrific decision. It really needs to be someone with status in the entertainment industry. He hasn't earned the right to host the Academy Awards. (again IMO).

The content of his humour makes Ricky Gervais look tame and timid. I look forward to anyone like that myself. as I have always wanted to see someone do this at the Oscars...

Seth will be hilarious. He was really good on Saturday Night Live a few weeks ago.
