Lurie Children's Hospital (Chicago) Fundraiser

Fri May 17, 2013 1:36 am

Hey everyone,

My son (now 18 months old) received a heart transplant at what is now Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago a year ago January. In an attempt to thank this non-profit hospital (which doesn't turn away anyone), we participate in their various fundraising efforts. Right now, they're doing their 5K Run/Walk, which ends this coming weekend. My son is the face of the fundraising campaign, and so we'll be getting up on stage at the end of the event.

Our team has donations and commitments for $3,000, and we'd like to bring in even more for this worthy cause.

His story (scroll down).

Thank you!

P.S. I should have added that donations are used for the hospital's assistance fund, which helps families who are unable to afford the cost of care on their own.
