All I can say is that was the most exciting 20 minutes of MLB ball I've seen so far this season. And San Francisco fans have been pretty spoiled over the last several years anyway. Cy Young winners, a perfect game, two World Series rings, a comeback player of the year / MVP. This season has been off to a rocky start, but wow. Talk about spoiled by the bay. Anything can happen in this game with a group of guys who believe they are in it till the last out.
Two clearly blown calls and you'd think things were going bad. Then Sergio Romo, the Giants closer, who has surrendered only 18 home runs in 299 appearances the last five seasons, gives up a leadoff HR in the top of the 10th. Then the Rockies' Betancourt commits the ultimate bullpen sin and walks the Giants leadoff man bottom 10. They bunt him over to 2nd, and then this happens:
And thanks to the time difference, that's how my Sunday morning started. Love it...
