Well Ford Field is already up and in business, making a sorely needed contribution to the stubbornly beleaguered economy of downtown Detroit. And the Lions are having a pretty good season!!

some promise and hope, only to fade away towards irrelevance at the end of the season.

The Silverdome was way out in Oakland county making it a long drive from the west and southern Detroit suburbs. The place was barely used since the Lions left in 2003. The city couldn't keep the place up. When the dome collapsed it was over. The city of Pontiac tried to sell the property and thought they would get millions for it; they got far less than one million. It was way too much venue for anything but NFL crowds.

It appears that some of the wires didn't get the message to go . Guess they will have to take some precautions and go check all the wiring to try again. Wonder if it will even be safe enough to set the charges again?

While I agree that having the Raiders here in Vegas hasn't had me doing cartwheels, the financial side isn't an issue, they were not stupid enough to try and get the locals to pay for it.
