D.B. Cooper mystery solved?

Fri Feb 02, 2018 2:52 am

This may actually be more appropriate in the Civil Aviation forum given its nature.

A Filmmaker is making claims that D.B. Cooper may be a CIA operative named Robert Rackstraw, and the reason this case hadn't been solved is because the FBI stonewalled the investigation given the sensitive nature of a CIA operative being involved if true.

Not sure what to think about this. The FBI didn't confirm the findings, but didn't exactly dismiss them either.

Let me guess, he's got a movie coming out about it?

I love how he gave his "press conference" about his "criminal investigation" in front of the FBI headquarters in DC.

Oh, and its the Washington Times.
Stay curious

Why would they do either of those things?

What is the regular limitation for blackmail in conjunction with holding passengers in a plane at ransom?

Dudes, it already has been solved.

And it's convincing.

Well, I'll offer one option: think it's a bunch of BS. I mean...

Now Mr. Colbert claims he has conclusive evidence linking Mr. Rackstraw to Cooper. Mr. Colbert claims he has discovered codes in five letters someone claiming to be Cooper mailed to the FBI. He alleges that the code refers to three Army units connected to Rackstraw during his service in Vietnam. Mr. Rackstraw is the only person connected to all three units, Mr. Colbert alleged.

...really?
